I got mail from Rodk some weeks ago. He asked me a question that, I guess, many people have when they want to give new life to an old computer. Here is what he asked me:
In my office I frequently lock my screen when I leave my desk. I found out, after pressing the Screen locking shortcut in Ubuntu 13.04 (and the versions before) the screen goes black but is still turned on and therefor consumes more energy than necessary. I hate wasting resources (and battery life) so I began to look for a solution…
I guess you all had this situation when using subversion / svn: You just created a new project and added many many files…. just to see that there is this ONE file which should no be included into subversion versioning control.
